Reminds me of the playlist of 77 WABC in NY when I was a kid. Good tunes on that list 72 was a good year for music.

There are a few cheeseball classics on this list but some real gems as well (Al Green, Eric Clapton, Elton John). There's a great balance of genres on this chart, plus even the cheesy one-hit-wonders are memorable for being pretty melodic.

Next time you're in Vegas, check out his show. Also check out the legalized prostitution. Then you'll have your answer.

Being able to listen to the J5 to the Stones to Barbra Streisand in the same hour must have been amazing. Radio today is so plain and one dimensional.

Pretty nice list overall.
There are only a few that are especially vomitrocious (that's right "GOOGLE IT!") Daddy, Don't You Walk So Fast * Wayne Newton The Happiest Girl in the Whole U.S.A. * Donna Fargo Gone * Joey Heatherton (a cutie that was better on the screen than on record) ...for example. A few favorites. ...Hold Your Head Up ...Happy (preceded by Tumblin' Dice) ...Conquistador (Studio) ...Conquistador (Live) tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Also "Funny Face" and "Country Sunshine". I couldn't stand those songs. Thank God we got her away from some of the country music when the disco era started.....but she still kept coming back to it every now and then....."Elvira....giddy up....ah oom bop a mow mow"..... . . . [Edited 8/7/08 16:39pm] Andy is a four letter word.

[Edited 8/7/08 16:39pm] The Oak Ridge Boys. Yep...mama played that one a lot, too. And I mean A LOT! Elvira was the token cross over country hit until Achy Breaky Heart came along. Here in New Zealand we had our own rate singers like Suzanne Prentice and John Hoare Grenell that covered all these hits and Donna Fargos were regularly covered. Prentices's version of funny face is actually quite good. "Hi ho Silver" 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince
