The Rolling Stones, 'ONE HIT(TO THE BODY)'

This is an awesome song from the Stones mid-eighties period, when the group was going through some friction at the time. The combination of both the acoustic and electric guitar riffs at the beginnig of the song are really great and unique(Ron Wood's idea). The excellent guitar solos, which are my favorite parts of the song, were played by guest superstar Jimmy Page. I suppose it was a sort of 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps' type apperance, ala Eric Clapton with The Beatles.

Anyone else think that its a great late period Stones song or not?

I liked that song and the video.

Mick and Keith were having a few uh, issues at that time with Keith saying "I'll slit his f***** throat".

But since they came back a in 89 with Steel Wheels until today they've stayed on track. (The Super Bowl was interesting but overall.....)

BTW Mr. Bobby Womack is on background vocals.

Wowww. I don't think I've heard that one since the 80s. I sure liked it then though!

The whole Super Bowl show was really an embarrassment for them unfortunately. Sad for a band who once used to exude so much energy and excitement from both themselves and the audiences. That was quite a long time ago. These days Mick just seems to be rushing past everything, from his words to his performances, in an attempt to get it over with and get of the stage. Keith and Ron, although never really great musicians, have just gotten worse and more sloppy with their guitar playing and 'weaving'(how I miss Mick Taylor!).

That is indeed Bobby Womack on backing vocals on the song, along with Bruce Springsteen's wife(cant remember how to spell her last name though). Their album 'Dirty Work' had many guest stars on it, including Tom Waits and Don Covay.
