David Bowie's "Black Tie White Noise" album iz da $hiznit! It's his best album, IMO. What do U think? I love every song on it. However, the only other David Bowie CDs that I own are "Hunky Dory", "Heroes", "Hours", "Heathen", "Live at BBC 2000", "All Saints" instrumental CD & "Best of Bowie". I badly need to expand my Bowie collection! [Edited 8/4/08 20:30pm] Stuck like glue!

Aladdin Sane and Low are more essential than those mentioned above with the exception of maybe Ziggy.
I loved his cover of I Know It's Gonna Happen Someday from Black Tie. It was definitely seen as a return to form when it came out.

I think it's a great album, too. "Miracle Goodnight" is pretty damn catchy.

i like a lot of songs from this album and i also liked that he was working with nile rodgers again and getting back into a young americans/let's dance soul vibe, but the production is too dated for me to really consider it an "essential" classic bowie album. at best, after some of the dreadful stuff he did in the mid/late '80s, this album felt to me like a promise of better things to come.
as far as a bona fide eye-opening artistic comeback is concerned, i was way more relieved and impressed by his "buddha of suburbia" soundtrack, which was released a year or two later. it's a great album and it unfortunately stays under the radar unless you're a bowie diehard.

This is the worst album ever released by a major artist.
It has dated attrociously and is an embarassment to Bowie's back catalogue. Miracle Goodnight is such a cringfest.
