My top ten is actually very easy (though every group on this list were great in their own way but here's mine):

2.) The Isley Brothers
3.) The Four Tops
4.) The Impressions
5.) The Dells
6.) The O'Jays
7.) The Delfonics
8.) Little Anthony & the Imperials
9.) The Spinners
10.) The Jackson 5/Jacksons

The Isleys didn't become a band until 1973, that's why LBC put in parenthesis. lol Before then, they were primarily a vocal group.

EWF are a BAND. Vocal groups usually mean no instruments even if several do play (the Jackson 5 for example played instruments on stage but technically they weren't allowed to play instruments when they were in Motown).

If you're going to include New Edition, then you gotta include Jodeci. Vocal wise, Jodeci blows the shit off of New Edition, but performance and dance routine wise, New Edition wins...either way, you can't leave Jodeci out.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
