'Love Jones' by Brighter Side of Darkness (1973)---I finally found the album I just ordered this album from Ebay
I'm only familiar with the title track they followed it up with a single called "I Owe You Love" which I had never heard before Who remembers this group and the album? [Edited 8/1/08 4:47am]

Got the album!
The aforementioned tracks are the highlights. There are a couple of tracks that appear twice on the album (normal version and instrumental). The instrumental versions come off as fillers. Other than that, great album [Edited 8/1/08 4:42am] It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

Other than that, great album I like the idea of having an instrumental version of "Love Jones" on the album that music is so dreamy and lush. How are the other songs?

Yea, I mean the 'Love Jones' instrumental is not bad, but it just seems a little filler-ish That's why I edited my previous post, to make myself clear The rest of the cuts are good too [Edited 8/1/08 4:49am] It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

P-Vine Japan also reissued this on CD in 2006. It's very hard to find nowadays though (Amazon has one on sale for 78$) I bought it off some seller on GEMM at some point after I had really started getting into sweet soul EDIT: I have the album on LP, not CD. That's why I'm so glad that I have a turntable/stereo.I can buy those rare, old albums and record them to CD-R myself, instead of paying those ridiculous prices for import CDs.

No power or bass whatsoever. This is what I use to record CD-Rs. Plug it into your stereo receiver..... The recordings I make with these shake the walls along with the asses. My mom's friend is actually the brother of the young man who sang the leads on this classic. I haven't had the chance to meet him yet, but eventually I will. Check me out and add me on:
