I just dug this album out of the extensive stack of inherited records I have still to work through. I've heard a lot of hate directed at this album, but after given both discs a solid listen I don't understand it.

Could it be because I wasn't alive in 1970 to be disappointed by it? Or could it be that it's just not as bad as the critics -some of the loudest being diehard Dylan fans -say? Certainly it's not his strongest effort, but the "worst album of all time", as I've heard it called?

This lady doth fucking protest. I'd say it's rather good, if a bit disjointed.
