Janet on Solid Gold Pay close attention to the "interview" at the beginning of the piece. You can really tell she was young and not used to doing a lot of interviews. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Wow! I don't think I ever saw this. If I did, it wasn't since 1986 whenever it aired.

The curl... "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Wow, I never knew Janet was on Solid Gold and I used to watch it every Saturday afternoon. I forgot how much I love "What Have You Done For Me Lately". That song STILL kicks major ass. It's fun to look back at Janet from the past. I love me some Janet! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Would love to watch something like that! from solid gold, it had breakdance-irene cara, she bop, somebody's watching me, self control, hold me now, i just called to say i love you, let's hear it for the boy, missing you, karma chameleon, ghostbusters (the red outfit and smoke onstage, classic!), footloose, what's love got to do with it, time after time all performed by the artists! And then clips of background dancers in their sequins dancing to when doves cry, say say say, let's go crazy (in pink and black bodysuits, I thought it was so awesome and was mad it was only like 30 seconds of the song) against all odds, hello and heart of rock and roll. I think it was the countdown 1984 special we had on tape, I watched it over and over for years and it eventually broke. No wonder I think 1983 and 84 are the best years of the 80's! I also remember video clips of you might think and china girl in that special, as well as boy george running into different washrooms, as a little kid I found that so hilarious and not taboo cause even I didn't know what he was though he was awesome. It was all fun and games to me. [Edited 7/30/08 8:31am] [Edited 7/30/08 8:35am]
