"New Attitude," "Neutron Dance" and "The Heat Is On" are my jams!!!!!
The video for "The Heat Is On" is cool...for its time. Really cheesy lookin now. Same goes for "Neutron Dance." (Especially "Neutron Dance") But I still LOVE them! On a special note..the INXS song "Keep The Peace" from BHC 3 soundtrack is pure AMAZING! MJ Fan 1992-Forever

I remember heat is on being on heavy rotation when I was 3/4 years old, it sounded so good when we were driving on a sunny day that a few years ago when I rediscovered it I would do the same and feel that deja vu feeling again. I also remember the theme music being everywhere for a long time.

The '80s had some really banal, I-was-high-off-reefer/coke-and-the-end-result-was-this-screenplay type flicks. *_____* Not saying that's necessarily bad, because some really good megacheese synths came out of it. Remember the movie Howard The Duck and its theme song by the all-female band Cherry Bomb? Holly Robinson (from 21 Jump Street) can be spotted on keytar[!] Dolby's Cube feat. Cherry Bomb / Howard The Duck (1986) Dolby's Cube feat. Cherry Bomb / Howard The Duck (1986) Song kicks in @ 1:40. Total "Let's Go Crazy" ripofffff. [Edited 8/4/08 17:43pm]

I've heard mixed things, some say it's the worst film ever made, some revere it as an '80s B-classic (it was just released on DVD in the UK). But I know 1986 had some seriously bad films. Related, Julien Temple's Absolute Beginners [1986] (the musical where Sade made her first acting appearance and also starred David Bowie -- and coincidentally was the film that inspired Janet's 'When I Think of You' video) was one of the biggest box office bombs of all time. It bombed so bad that the movie house that made it, Goldcrest Films, went out of business.

I assume the Shalamar song is post-Jody, though....not sure how I would feel about that. Patti's "Stir It Up" might be my favorite track by her....did she keep doing more upbeat/poppy stuff after that. I only Patti from her hits and to some degree, the new stuff.
