I remember there was a segment where she was talking about the song (I don't think it's the clip you're referring to) but she was initially pissed that Babyface gave her that song with the lyrics and the chorus being "shoop, shoop". lol

She probably felt better after seeing what Chanté Moore got. lol

"Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" has bass that'll blow your speakers.

Wey U Show (or whatever) was a very good ... em ... song. I love it, and still have it in heavy rotation. It's one of my favorite "easylistening" songs.

I wish that clip of her describing that song to (I think?) Kurt Loder was on youtube somewhere. She was high out of her flippin' mind and thought that shit was effin' deep beyond belief!

Sometimes it's wrong, and sometimes it's right
For every win, someone must fail
But there comes a point when
When we exhale

I personally think 'Face was trying to compete with Salt-N-Pepa. falloff

I saw that interview and the funny thing is Whitney's first response was 100% correct. That "shoop, shoop" chorus really lets down what would otherwise be a good song. She should have told Babyface to rewrite it, but she let him talk her around instead.

I like Wey U alot too. Very soothing. I guess they just ran out of lyrics on both songs.

Wey U didn't need any lyrics, it would have ruined a good thing. lol

I don't hate it, but I wouldn't call it one of her best.

I think Face had a hard time with that song lol It seems like he was trying to fit the word "exhale" (or the full title "waiting to exhale") somewhere in it,but couldn't quite figure out how to do it.In the end,he settled for a weak, repetitive chorus that had nothing to do with the rest of the song, lol. This song was the beginning of his decline.
