TORI AMOS.....GREAT TALENT WASTED ?

"little earthquakes" and "under the pink" are great albums then , imo , tori disappeared up her own arsehole....the odd great song now and then ,but she became way too self indulgent for me , i hated "boys for pele" but some people here think its a brilliant album but not by me and most of her fans and music critics....she has all but lost the fanbase she had after the first two albums...she is still a great talent but what a waste... IN MY OPINION ,OF COURSE sad

Dance

Erm, yeah she can play and all(sort of), but she never really had a style/sound or material that grabbed people other than hippie chicks with no taste. shrug

Boys is what actually hooked me to her. I have explored her from that center going forward and going back. She is one of the most interesting forces in recent music history as far as I'm concerned.

as much as we disagree on the political scale, we are in tune musically!

you won't get me on the lib stuff, but that's ok. it makes for much more interesting conversation if we disagree.

as for beekeeper...i think it is incredible. its almost a shame that doll posse came out and overshadowed it so quickly. lol

I love The Beekeeper.

It would have been interesting had she gone a more pop direction after Under the Pink, which she very well could have - but she went the exact opposite.

I love when she experimented more on the electronica side with Choirgirl and Venus, but then Strange Little Girls I didn't care for, and Scarlet's Walk left me bored to tears.

I didn't really love her again until Beekeeper - that restored all faith, as did the song "Bouncing off Clouds" alone.
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

i was big on Tori from Under the Pink til Venus and Beyond. Didn't even bother to check out Strange Little Girls, Scarelett's Walk, or the BeeKeeper. Regained some interest after American Doll Posse and have gotten the stuff I missed.
