Jackson 5 museum said to be in "prelminary plans" in Gary, IN Jackson 5 Museum In Gary Not As Easy as 1-2-3 A Jackson 5 museum is in the preliminary planning stages in Gary, but it got a visibility boost after patriarch Joe Jackson announced his support for the project yesterday. So far, there's no groundbreaking date and no timeline for completion. In other words, people are sort of talking about maybe doing a museum or something. The proposed museum would be built near I-80 on city-owned property, and might include the Jackson family's old house. Jackson was in Gary to tape an episode of his reality show, according to reports, though we can't find anything that indicates any channel has agreed to broadcast said show. He received the keys to the city, and Gary mayor Rudy Clay is a big fan of the museum idea. Would Jackson need the approval of his variously famous offspring to get the museum plans started? "I'm Joe Jackson," he said. "I don't need them to approve anything." ----

Will Joseph's rehearsal belt be in the museum?

Joe really shouldn't waste his time on a project like this.
What he should be doing is replacing Nanny Jo on Supernanny or starting a child talent agency.

This has been planning for years. Michael was involved back in 1989/90 when they first started but things got quiet shortly after. "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."
