MADONNA's meltdown... MADONNA IN MELTDOWN
THE stress of the past month is taking its toll on MADONNA. The Queen Of Pop has sacked two dancers and her tour manager is threatening to walk out over her spectacular moods. And for the first time, despite her incredible fitness regime, her health has started to suffer. Doctors discovered Madge is anaemic, a surefire sign she is overdoing it, and she also suffered a painful knee injury. Madge has had a doctor, physiotherapist and a chiropractor on duty during rehearsals for her forthcoming Sticky & Sweet world tour. Crisis This week medical experts ordered her to take her foot off the pedal on the punishing dance routines because her body simply cannot cope. She is now taking time out and resting in New York state’s Hamptons resort with close pal GWYNETH PALTROW. Madge’s meltdown follows some testing times in her personal life. She has faced claims of a crisis in her marriage to GUY RITCHIE and allegations that she is a home-wrecker over her relationship with baseball star ALEX ‘A-ROD’ RODRIGUEZ. And a book penned by her brother Christopher Ciccone has lifted the lid on family secrets and tensions. The strain has pushed her famous mood swings to terrifying new extremes. A source in her camp said: “Madonna is doing less than OK. She has been rehearsing for the tour and she is totally miserable. “She’s down physically and mentally. The situation with Guy is very, very tense. The way the press are going crazy with the A-Rod story, her brother’s book and her physical exhaustion are all taking their toll. “Family tension with her father and two of her other siblings has also been awkward. “She feels nobody has taken her side. One of her closest pals says she has never seen Madonna so low. She has been feeling low and looking really gaunt. “Madonna was told to go soft on work and rehearsals, so she will now take one proper day off every week and go easy in the mornings. “She has a blood analysis done every few days — including one during last Friday’s rehearsal in front of everyone.” I reckon it may be a good time for Guy to take up golf. Madonna moods? Sounds like the ultimate domestic torture to me. in http://www.thesun.co.uk/s...ece [Edited 7/22/08 12:08pm]

Well I hope everything is okay with Madonna, but to the OP can you possibly confine all these Madonna topics to one thread? It's getting to be a litte bit much now. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

NEVER too much! Madonna is just building buzz for the tour. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

This is bullshit. None of the stories about her are anything she hasn't already done - prepped for a tour, worked out like a maniac, been dogged by rumours of sleeping with another celebrity, and had a marriage on the rocks. It's just 1989 or 1990 all over again. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Well, if there's one thing we do know, she doesn't have a shortage of protein in her system.

I'm not a big Madonna fan but i sometimes wonder about her fans. Seriously if she said there were gonna be no big routines and costumes and everything is gonna be stripped down would they be disappointed? She can't keep doing that shit forever, i mean the woman is 50, i think she needs to realize it as do her supporters.

Madge, Madge, Madge...this is such a far cry from who you were ten years ago - or was "getting spiritual" just a publicity stunt?

She wasn't 50 then, though.

Bitch needs to take a holiday. Get a little bit of a suntan, lie on a beach, have drunken sex with some barman, catch a couple of sti's, the usual stuff us normal folks do to unwind on holiday.

This story is obviously tabloid bullshit, but I really think that Madonna should take 2009 off. After the tour ends, she needs to relax and take a break. No music,no touring,no children's books,no public appearances.I think part of the reason why she and Guy are having problems is because they spend so much time apart. She should spend 2009 focused on her marriage and her three children. She's a notorious workaholic but she needs to just enjoy life for awhile.Take a year off and then come back in 2010 with a vengeance.

My mom would love to be 50 again. My mom is in eighties. Only in the music business is 50 considered so old you are likely to collapse at any minute and can't do anything.

Well its much more physically demanding than putting your mom pants on in the morning then sitting hunched over in a lounge chair watching Regis & Kelly. Plus Madonna has nothing to offer musically that will take her into her later years. She was only about looking good, not musical talent with substance. Even her latest scandals are old hat, nobody gives a shit cause its common place. There is no more taboo that is unexplored. GAME OVER.

She's made plenty of records with musical substance such as Live to Tell, Like a Prayer and Ray of Light. I think Hard Candy is one of her weaker albums, but her career is hardly over. She won't go away which will only make you hate her more. Not only have you managed to insult my favorite artist, but my mother as well. She doesn't sit home watching morning television. She does charity work and sells real estate part time. You really ought to get to know some older people. They have a lot of offer. They not pieces of mush that park themselves in front of the tv all day long.

I personally wouldn't mind that at all. But I do think a lot of her fans do complain when she doesn't dance and plays guitar. They scream boring. I'd love to see her incorporate some more live instrumentation into her music. But at the same time I love her dance oriented stuff like Confessions as well, so I wouldn't want her to completely give up performing that. I think it's hard for her because she started out as a dancer, so dancing is in her blood. I don't think she should stop dancing but maybe she can cut back a little and incorporate other kinds of performing as well.

Man I hope this isn't true.
I became a Madonna fan after seeing her live shows. Sure, I had some of her albums and I know she can come out with some catchy pop tunes but she went under the radar for the most part. Until I saw her live shows and then all that changed. I think my fascination with Madonna has more to do with her work ethic, her stamina. Her ability to juggle as much as possible. Recording, directing movies, writing books, planning tours, rehearsals, motherhood, being a wife (although her marriage to Guy seems to be falling apart. He seems like kinda of an ass anyway. What does he do while she's doing all her shit. Jujitzu? He hasn't directed a movie in years.) If this article is true than reality is biting her in the ass but still I'm sure she'll be able to get it together in time for the tour. On a different note, do we know which dancers she canned? Also, which of the dancers from the last two tours will she be working with again. I loved Sophia and Cloud. Also, wikipedia is saying Donna De Lory is back for this tour but I had read somewhere that she was not on board this time around. As for those people that keep saying that 50 is old. I hope I look that good at 50 and I hope I have that kind of energy.
