Any1 have the Motown Remixed CDs? Was thinking about getting them...
any reviews from people on here? Thanks! RIP 1958-2016 Prince RIP 1947-2016 David Bowie

I'm pretty sure this is aimed at people who like those producers who got to remix them. If you're like "I just wanna hear some Motown", then these aren't for you.

The few times I thought about picking them up, I just think, "You know, I'd rather just listen to the originals." "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I like the Z-Trip remix of Jackson 5, "I want you back". Check it out!
Got cool solo guitar intro, the most obvious difference from the original being the drums are made to sound more thumping like modern records. Subtleties in the original recording have been brought out. It definitely hits when I mix it in my sets! Love the intro! http://www.youtube.com/wa...kF887_JogE PS I STILL haven;t figured out how to embed youtube in my post...can someone pointer me? Cheers! _ Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

I have this one:
I downloaded this from Rhapsody: Both are pretty good. I only like a hand full of mixes on both. The remix of "Let's Get It On" on the volume 1 compilation is excellent. The Volume 2 remixes are more latin influenced, whereas volume 1 is club/dance influenced. On iTunes, they have a "bonus track" version of volume one and it has my FAVORITE remix of the series. It is the remix of "(Love Is Like A) Heat Wave (Noizetrip Mix)" by Martha Reeves & The Vandellas. It makes the song a true moder r&b track. If properly released, it could definitely be a hit. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I bought the one that had either Rick James' "Mary Jane" or "Bustin' Out". Hell, I can't remember because I threw the damn CD in the trash after listening to it. The entire thing was absolutely horrible. They had slowed the tempo of the songs down and remixed them with those damn shit hop drum machines.
I was thinking it was going to be remixed house style. Andy is a four letter word.

If I were you, I would listen to the clips online before purchasing them (unless you really want the compilations). If you like Cumbia/Latin remixes, you should get volume 2. If you like club/dance mixes, get volume 1. Surprisingly, on volume one, many of the remixes honored the originals. Some of them were completely redone, but for the most part, they stayed pretty true. I forgot to mention that the remix of "Quiet Storm" makes you want to have more babies and go all night. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Yeah, there are a lot of good ones. This one's fun: There are a couple clunkers on there (the Four Tops take on Michelle is pretty bad), but overall a good collection.

I was thinking it was going to be remixed house style. Some of the trax on the cd weren't half bad, but the overall project was bad in my opinion. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-
