The Loose Ends Vs. The S.O.S. Band

Who were the best quasi-funk-soul-pop band with a female on lead vocal from the early 80's to mid 90's?

Loose Ends:

Mr Batchelor
Watching You
Hangin On A String (Contemplating)
Dont Be A Fool
You Make Me Feel
Stay A Little While Child
Choose Me
Dial 999
Slow Down
Nights Of Pleasure
Tell me What You Want

S.O.S. Band:

Take Your Time
High Hopes
Just The Way You Like It
Weekend Girl
No Ones Gonna Love You
No Lies
Tell Me If You Still Care
Even When You Sleep
The Finest
Sands Of Time
Just Be Good To Me
Nothing But The Best

Didnt I hear that J&T claimed that the Loose Ends was tying to be SOS Band? Lets post giggle

Watching You was my Summer Jam in '91. They had SEVERAL hits. I think Strings was the biggest, though.

Yeah, they had a good handful of hits. Hangin' on a String was a #1 R&B hit, as was Slow Down

Slow Down

Mariah's partial to this one:

S.O.S. band for me. I love both groups, but if I had to pick, it would be the S.O.S. Band.

I'm way more familiar with the S.O.S. Band, so they would get my vote. I do love two Loose Ends songs "Hangin' On A String" and "Mr. Bachelor."

The SOS Band by far. I never cared for Loose Ends very much. Well, not enough to buy anything from them. As for The SOS Band though, I like some of their stuff with Jam and Lewis but I prefer their first two albums without Jam and Lewis.
