All of the funk bands were dwindling down to 3 or 4 members (Cameo, Barkays, Confunkshun, etc.). P-Funk didn't want to do that and ended up paying for it in the end (popularity wise).

As for Bootsy, though I'm not a big fan, I do love certain songs by him, but I preferred the Parliment/Funkadelic branch of GC's branch over Bootsy.

There used to be a very cool live clip of Bootsy playing Body Slam! on YouTube. Unfortunately it was removed a long time ago, and I haven't seen anyone repost it.

Guess I haven't looked for it in awhile, it was probably in 2006 when I first saw that clip on the tube. I waited for it to show up again for quite some time, but to no avail. Looks like I should've waited a bit longer
