I only have his greatest hits and the self titled album (with the song personality). I recommend them both. They are good albums. I am starting to look up albums that he did for others. I really love the work he did with Evelyn Champagine King.

I was like that until I got the greatest hits. Once I got that, it refreshed my memory of his stuff. (that is weird...huh. Maybe he's just a forgettable artist).

Get his first two albums.....the debut album was released in 1983 and is titled 'Kashif'.It contains the hits "I Just Gotta Have You" and "Stone Love".

The second album was released in 1984 and is titled 'Send Me Your Love'.It contains the hits "Baby Don't Break Your Baby's Heart" and "Are You The Woman".

Those two albums are great music

I might try this myself
as I played SIDE A
of the album I just posted
and didn't recognize anything (once again)

it all sounded like Lillo Thomas to me
(did he produce for Lillo?)

maybe it was actually Lillo that
I was crazy about lol
I mean because my first time hearing
"All Of You" since back in the 80's
I almost sang the song verbatim
oohs and aahs and ever Melba's part
ROTFL

question... which album of Kashif's
has "Personality" on it?
I thought you said the self-titled one
but this is the one I have
and I don't see it sad

I went on a vinyl dig yesterday and I came across Kashif's third album 'Condition Of The Heart' (released in 1985).I'm only familiar with the title track.I wonder if the rest of the album is any good? Somehow I doubt it's as good as his first two albums.

You should be able to find it at almost any decent used cd store for under $10.

You don't remember hearing "I Just Gotta Have You (Lover Turn Me On"? In my area, this was a massive hit on R&B radio in the spring of '83 music For several years in the 80s,Kashif's sound was all over R&B radio. He had his own unique sound. In addition to his own hits,he produced stuff like...

"I'm In Love" and "Love Come Down" for Evelyn Champagne King
"So Fine" for Howard Johnson
"Love's Comin At Cha" by Melba Moore

and many more songs...
