Lighthouse - "One Fine Morning" According to their allmusic entry, Lighthouse "played at the Newport and Monterey Jazz Festivals and the Isle of Wight Festival, though they had turned down Woodstock." I don't know a whole lot about them, but if the rest of this album is as good as the single, I'm a' huntin' it down. The single One Fine Day (from the album of the same name) bebuted on the Hot 100 on September 11, 1971 and peaked at #24 on November 13, 1971. This was their first release after leaving RCA, and after a considerable personnel overhaul the group downsized from 13 members to a paltry 11. Those horns, those soaring vocals, that insistent guitar, that vibraphone(!). | |
