Corey Feldman: Michael Jackson Abandoned Me! Just because...this place needs another Michael Jackson article
http://www.postchronicle....0045.shtml Corey Feldman Slams Michael Jackson For 'Abandoning Him' Published: July 24, 2008 Former teen star Corey Feldman has accused Michael Jackson of damaging his childhood, by befriending and then abandoning him. The two became close after Feldman found fame as a young star in movies Gremlins, Goonies and Stand By Me. Feldman admits Jackson has helped many children by becoming a friend and mentor - but claims he does more harm than good, by dropping kids when he gets bored. The 37-year-old says, "He did real damage in my overall life. I was a 12-year-old boy who was hurt by his family and ignored by people at school. Michael would sit and talk to me for hours and he would listen. Then he would get bored. "The biggest thing that Michael's done to children is befriending the ones that are in need and then abandoning them. "(He'd say) 'Hey, I love you, I'm here for you, anything you need, you call me, I will be there for you.' Then the very next day, the number's been changed. As a 12-year-old kid, that's a pretty hard one to comprehend." And Feldman claims the hardships Jackson has suffered in recent years are payback for the pain he has caused: "That's the karma he's paying off now." He's mad 25 years after the fact?
And what did the Jackson family do to him?

Muthafucka is still mad? Ironic that Michael is still friends with Emmanuel Lewis, Sean Lennon, and others.

Not to speak about this *particular* case, but...
...the hurts you feel when you are 12 can stay with you the longest. Everything you feel when you are in your early to late teens have a profound influence on the rest of your life. Favorite bands, first loves, first rejections, all of that. It's one of the most vivid times of someone's life. Now imagine that the World's Biggest Star even knows your name and then for whatever reason, is no longer in your life. That would stay with anyone, but especially a kid. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

MJ "abandoned" him when he was well into his 30s. 10th September 2001 to be precise. He forgets to mention that they had a fight and Michael dropped him after Corey told him to his face that he was going to write a book about him but will wait until Katherine dies first so not to hurt her. Yeah, Corey, I WONDER why he doesn't like you any more but still has Culkin and Wade Robson in his little mix. [Edited 7/24/08 17:01pm]

I'd love to read more about this theory/topic/whatever it is. Ellie said: MJ "abandoned" him when he was well into his 30s. 10th September 2001 to be precise. [Edited 7/24/08 17:01pm] The truth hurts.. You can't force someone to be your friend. Maybe he should have thought about how he misses Michael when he did that damn follow up special with Martin Bashir, and created all this rucus for nothing. All the media played it like Michael molested him....and then he is on there being vague and this and that, but sorta defending him. Considering his current feelings, it almost strikes me as like, If Michael would have been his friend again, he would have defended him, but since he didn't go all out for him, he was vague with giving Michael props on TV. The truth hurts..Corey always strikes me as a phony/do anything for attention bratty man. I wish he'd just accept that "Dream A Little Dream" and a few of his other movies were cute, but now he just needs to shut up and live off his royalities. Him and Vanilla Ice should write a book or something about how certain people in the entertainment industry wronged performs them. They are both grown men brats, or so it seems. At least Vanilla Ice still and is trying though. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

Feldman is a washed up has been just another ex celebrity trying to kick MJ when hes down. I am paying these rumours no heed. Michael has been a good friend to a lot of people, and besides don't we all befriend people who drop off our radar eventually 17 Years ago I made a commitment to Prince

I think he means that his own family hurt him? "I was a 12-year old boy who was hurt by his family" Several years ago, Corey was on the Stern show and his dad unexpectedly showed up. Corey ripped his father a new one, talking about how his parents mismanaged his money, how his dad beat him, etc., etc. Back then, Corey defended Michael to Howard. Not any more.

Why don't I feel any sympathy for Corey Feldman? What he's saying about Mike isn't surprising but yet I kinda don't care. Corey's an oddball anyway. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Did you guys ever hear that pathetic story that Corey was telling several years ago? Claiming that Michael "left him to die" in New York after 9/11? Corey attended Michael's concert/tribute thing at Madison Square Garden, around the time of 'Invincible'.The terrorist attacks happened the next day and Corey claims that Michael was only concerned about his children and pal Elizabeth Taylor, and didn't help Corey get out of New York A grown man whining like a drama queen. This would almost be laughable if it weren't so pathetic, lol.

. [Edited 7/25/08 7:12am] I hadn't heard this one! God forbid he should put his very young children and frail, elderly friend before some guy he knew years ago.

This was some profound stuff Alasseon. This helps explains some of my personal thoughts/feelings about life. Any book you've read this in? I'd love to read more about this theory/topic/whatever it is. Honestly, it's just something that I've observed over the years. Everyone's favorite band is stuff that they listened to when they were teens. Hell, it's one of the reasons that I came to the Org, because Purple Rain hit just as I was turning 18. All of the most intense feelings, good and bad, came from when you are this young. It's like you're clay and the things that happen to you, imprint themselves on you, leaving a lasting impression. So if you are praised and loved and supported when you are very young, you carry a certain self-confidence and self-reliance with you, all of your life. If you are mocked or hurt or abused early in life, you carry the feelings of guilt, insecurity, anger and all sorts of negativity for all of your life. It doesn't mean that you are locked into patterns and can never change; merely that the most intense passions and feelings and emotions come from when you are most "impressionable". That's why military basic training works best on 18 year olds; not because 30 year olds can't be fit, but the 18 year olds can be molded into whatever the military wants. That's why when you're a teenager, it doesn't seem outrageous to practice music ten hours a day to be a famous rock star; of course you can do ANYthing. It's why someone can stand on a line for ten hours to get an iphone or decide to bike ride across the U.S. It's also why your first love is someone you never forget. Okay, I better be quiet now... LOL. Some people tell me I've got great legs...

at all of this.
If I were MJ (or ANY full grown man), I wouldn't want folks constantly pointing out how close I was to 12 year old boys in a friendship kind of way. .... creepy. And if I was Corey (or ANY full grown man), I wouldn't admit I was ever friends with MJ. creepy. at all of this

Emmanuel and Michael and consider each other family [Edited 7/24/08 15:10pm] Exactly. I´ve never liked this guy. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

They had been friends for years but it seems like when Corey got heavy into drugs, Michael kinda stayed away. From all the child stars who hung out with Michael, he seems to be the only one who talks shit about his former friend
Sean Lennon Wade Robson Rodney Allen Rippy Emmanuel Lewis and his brother Mac Culkin Alfonso Riberio Brandon Adams Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton I mean, come on.... "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

Michael didn't drop him when he was into drugs. Feldman actually partly credited him for helping him when he was at a low point. His little whining is inaccurate though, cos they were friends for a good 15+ years - he was probably about 14 when they first met on the set of The Goonies (as told in the commentary on the DVD), so it's not like he got older and MJ lost interest, he just turned into a spoiled little prick.
