no that's not the point- the point is that somehow we don't realise who we are letting into our space through music. i'm sure I don't know the backgrounds of various artist. we wouldn't let 98% of them babysit our children- but would we hang out with them? [Edited 7/18/08 14:12pm] I have friends with any combination of: 1. Criminal scandals. 2. Drug or alcohol abuse. 3. Date or marry another friend's ex. 4. Have weight issues.(obesity,bulimia, anorexia, etc). 5. Suicide attempts. 6. Have STD's. 7. Diagnosed or known symptoms of mental illness. So if I have friends with some of those, then I can only say that presumably I wouldn't rule out "hanging out" with a performer because they had one or more of the above. | |
