They don't do great album covers like in the old days... So true...
Everytime I see someone here post a album cover of some 70's and 80's funk/soul...I always think: "That's a great cover!"

My favorite covers were those by the Ohio Players...they were a bit repetetive but, boy were they HOTTT !
Especially the Contradictions and Honey album covers. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Santana´s covers were also a joy to behold. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

This is my favorite more recent cover. It's everything I think rock n roll is missing these days.

Here's a sampling of extremely artistic covers done by photographer Pete Turner for the CTI and A&M labels. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Seems like 2 out of 3 covers anymore follow this format:
Photograph of the artist Name of the artist Kinda sad really, as the cover is your first impression of what's inside (even if it's inaccurate).

I went on a vinyl dig this past weekend and I enjoyed looking at all those old 70s albums. The covers were really more imaginative back then.Alot of creativity went into the covers.
