They don't do great album covers like in the old days...

So true...

Everytime I see someone here post a album cover of some 70's and 80's funk/soul...I always think:

"That's a great cover!"

My favorite covers were those by the Ohio Players...they were a bit repetetive but, boy were they HOTTT !
Especially the Contradictions and Honey album covers.

Santana´s covers were also a joy to behold.

Seems like 2 out of 3 covers anymore follow this format:

Photograph of the artist
Name of the artist

Kinda sad really, as the cover is your first impression of what's inside (even if it's inaccurate).

I went on a vinyl dig this past weekend and I enjoyed looking at all those old 70s albums.The covers were really more imaginative back then.Alot of creativity went into the covers.
