The documentary I mentioned in my previous post came out a few years ago and is called " A Different Story" ( sounds a bit like his song " A Different Corner") . Some critics hated it for being nothing but a one and a half hour commercial for his albums but I found some of the negativity very harsh and ungrateful because I really,really enjoyed watching that documentary and I think it is a must-have and must-see for any George Michael fan. He comes across so nice and friendly and honest and outspoken that you just have to like him as a person and a musician. It contains a brief summary of the most crucial events in his life since the early 90s, his fight against Sony Records, the death of his friend and partner Anselmo,some insight into his music and his personal background,lots of driving and walking around in those northern parts of London where he grew up, some interviews with his friends ( including Andrew Ridgley ), some concert and videoclip and TV footage, etc.etc.etc. All in all, a great little documentary or homevideo to have and watch from time to time if you are into his music and want to know a little bit about the person behind the music. How was the crowd in Houston? Full? Dallas wasn't sold out, but definitely at about 85% and a really enthusiastic, giddy group of people. He said we were the best crowd yet. Funny you should say that. He mentioned how rowdy the Dallas crowd was throughout the entire show. He was really impressed with the level of support he received there. my job reserved 4 great tickets for clients and the clients can't go, so now not only do i get to see the show but i get to go for free and with prime seats! i love almost all of his stuff but i especially NEED to hear: praying for time, fastlove, cowboys and angels, kissing a fool, freedom '90, and too funky. if i hear all or most of those songs, it'll be perfect! An individualist is a man who lives for his own sake and by his own mind; he neither sacrifices himself to others nor sacrifices others to himself... | |
