Yeah, Dwele is getting his EWF harmonies and horns on with this record on a few cuts. "Vain" has some nice arrangements to it.
The Mint is gonna come knockin' on his door about "Body Rock" though. He knows damn well those stabs in the intro & choruses are "Pretty Brown Eyes" intro. Overall, I like the record. Its pretty tight. He suffers from what every other R&B cat does these days - recordfullaballaditis. Even Mint Condition has contracted it. Up-tempo is too important to be left out. These dudes better try to remember what a groove used to sound like and try to write some. Too many slow songs can kill a record. | |

I wish some cats in the 70s would've suffered from this disease too. Too many vocal groups who excelled at ballads had to include mediocre disco shit on their albums after the mid 70s just to sell records... It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.
