"you're my sugar-coated baby".. "I've travelled many miles just to find somebody like you.. ain't no way I'm gonna give you up.. & I know you feel the same way too.." THANKS in advance for your help keep it FUNKY.. I'll see you tonight..

As much as I didn't dig this song, I kinda had a feelin' I knew who it was...
Alicia Myers - You Get The Best From Me (say,say,say).. this was around the time I joined a dj record pool, for a couple of months...soon after that I had a direct hook up with all of the major and independent labels. It seemed like the pool director must have giving me a copy of this single every f'n week. anyways here it 'tis. hey StarMon
THANKS for the help - I would have NEVER guessed the title (like that) myself ! it's a cute enough "funk pop" song, with a lot of the things you heard back in the early to mid 80s - synths "playing bass lines", drum machines, simple (if not sufficient) rhythm guitar "riffs".. to me (& in a similar vein) are (better) songs like : + come let me love you - Jeannette Lady Day + heartbeat - Ta'ana Gardner + funky sensation - Gwen McCrae of all these listed, I'd say that "come let me love you" is the best of this "1-hit-wonder-diva-wanna-be" genre (no intention to diss any of the above [or similar].. simply trying to "give a name" to the genre.. keep on funkin.. I'll see you tonight..
