I have to tell you, that EVH "bad" solo is a fake. Look up Eddie Van Halen + NAMM on youtube to hear the REAL solo. You would be amazed! Mutts

I will agree that it's stupid, obnoxious and unnecessary, but that's kinda CC Deville in a nutshell, isn't it? I never gave that song a chance because shortly thereafter, MTV put 'Something To Believe In' in heavy rotation and I had to drop Poison ASAP. Poison rocks! http://www.hairmetal.net

I don't know about the worse ever, but I laugh every time I see Jermaine picking up Tito's main instrument.

that wasn't bad. what's funny, is that you actually think Jermaine is playing it. that flying V was nothing more than a stage prop and something to excite that boring ass performance.

I didn't think he was playing it I was just listening out for the solo part in order to judge it. now some of those srv shredder clips had me fooled, I was like wtf? I guess the other shredder clips actually sound like the kind of crap folks do all the time, so when I clicked on the Stevie Ray it kind of through me off, I was thinking what the hell? what show was this? I can see where one could get momentarily fooled. Those parodies are very well done. My favorite at the moment is the Paco de Lucia clip when they have him break into the "Dueling Banjos" theme from Deliverance. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. It makes me think "maybe I don't understand music as well as I thought" Obviously a good guitar player who made them. And one thing not mentioned on these is the horrible tone he achieves on some, especially the metal ones! like he's playing through a transistor radio. [Edited 7/13/08 14:10pm] My Legacy

Whoever put those together really did their homework on "Bad Guitar Playing". They must've watched/listened to a ton of homemade YouTube bedroom guitar videos. They've got it all the way down. Right to the "click" when the player steps on his Guitar Center special METAL MONSTROSITY distortion pedal and you get that first rush of white noise prior to any notes being played. They should do an internet series titled BAD GUITAR. Similar to the SNL "Bad Cinema" skit Dan Ackroyd used to do as Leonard Pinth-Garnell. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. All You Need Is Love--Beatles c'mon George, you can do better than that! I agree. Everyone says George was this fantastic guitar player, but I've never heard any evidence of this and I've been listening to the Beatles for YEARS! Seems like all the good licks were Paul's.

Seems like all the good licks were Paul's. he wasn't technically brilliant (he was kind of clunky at times), but played some great melodic stuff, and got much better towards the end. Something is one of my favorite solos ever--basically all of Abbey Road has great guitar from George. My Legacy

George's solo in "Something" can be found in Webster's Dictionary under "warmth". That Fender tone thru the Leslie cab sounds amazing. And every note he played for that song was perfect.
I also dug his raw solo on the extended version of "Let It Be".
