So George Michael is my new favorite well...almost
just saw 25 Live tour in Dallas (my concert buddy is rich, lucky me) and i am stupified, awestruck, amazed, thrilled, silent...that voice! Those songs! I never much cared for "Roxanne" by the Police but his version is pure dynamite. His take on "Feeling Good" is sublime. Now that I know the song "Everything She wants" wow! he is such a fantastic performer. His dancing was perfect. He worked that stage, mostly alone, and he is such a fantastic entertainer. And our seats were crap! But he had those of us in the top left corner in the palm of his hand...I can't believe how beautiful "father figure" and "one more try" were! And "Fast Love" as the opener - brilliant! I am so bummed he says this is his last tour... I bought 25 Live and previously owned Listen Without Prejudice (though I have barely listened to it), Faith, and Ladies and Gentlemen...now I need Older and Patience and his covers record, plus a Wham Best of. Anyone else here a hard core GM fan? I am converted for life... I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

Now that you just got to know this song... It's one of his best, with or without Wham. The extended version is the best.

You are so lucky getting to see him live!!
I am also a fan of George Michael and would jump at the chance to see him live, but it doesn't look like he is going to bring his tour to Australia.

Saw him in Houston last night...His voice is incredible and he is such an outstanding song writer. I was a bit disappointed with the show though..the effects were nice..but I think I am really spoiled with seeing so many Prince concerts..I wanted to actually see him play an instrument and show a bit of improvisation. But it was a must see show for anyone who is a fan of his early WHAM or later work. He really seemed to be in his element. 1 over Jordan...the greatest since

How was the crowd in Houston? Full? Dallas wasn't sold out, but definitely at about 85% and a really enthusiastic, giddy group of people. He said we were the best crowd yet. I'll leave it alone babe...just be me

I attented his cocnert almost 2 years ago in Stuttgart, Germany on 14th October 2006. It was fantastic I allready was a big fan but I was blown away. Thank god I invested those 100 Euros!!
It was probably the best investment I've ever done. But how come you didn't know ESW?? You gotta listen to that whole Wham stuff, from Fantastic to Final!!

and then you've gotta search for the rare stuff (Happy, Crazyman Dance, etc)

I am so very glad I got tix to see him as he was amazing! I also loved Everything she wants live. It was great to hear that performed as the extended version. Christian Zombie Vampires

I read on another message board that the ticket prices in Houston were dropped to try to fill more seats. They say the most expensive seat was $80. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I never really cared for him up until the mid 90s but the older he gets, the more I like his attitude and his music. And he seems to be a genuinely nice person to hang around with. I loved that documentary he did a couple of years ago. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I wish I could go for the show, they're giving away tickets on the radio and everything, but I have to do a presentation that same night.

Club Tropicana 5. Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go 6. Like A Baby 7. Freedom 8. The Edge Of Heaven 9. Wham Rap! 10. Young Guns (Go For It!) 11. Last Christmas 12. Where Did Your Heart Go? 13. Everything She Wants '97 14. I'm Your Man '96 It's a pretty good overview, but to listen to the full albums: Fantastic Make It Big The Final/Music From The Edge of Heaven is better "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. Oh, you lost me at female. and I thought you were local. Yes the show was great. I waffled for days about whether I should go and decided at 7 pm to meet my ticketscalper pal to get a ticket. I'm sooooo glad I did cuz he was incredible. I ended up on the 4th row on the floor. Amazing seat. The lady next to me, who sold her extra ticket to my scalper pal, was from London and had seen 57 shows of this tour and was going to Houston the next night. The people around us that overheard her were like and when she said this. But I consoled her by saying I'm the same way about Prince and went to Vegas, LA AND London to see that fool. She gave me a big ol' hug and said "You understand don't you???!!!" All in all a great night.

He looked great. He's got a bit of a paunch and he kept his shades on but he looked pretty fit. Close to the end of the show his partner Kenny walked up to stand by the front of the stage and he said hi to me. I used to go to events at their gallery here in Dallas. I almost went up to the Ghostbar afterwards but I was tired. Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Oh my gosh, I nearly forgot about "Wham! Rap." Enjoy what you do!!! As cheesy as this song may be, I kind of like it.
I really like George Michael. "Heal The Pain" is one of my all-time faves. And "Everything She Wants" is just great. "One More Try," "Soul Free," "A Different Corner" - I just really like his voice. "She made me glad to be a man"

Due to a super stupid issue that's been going on for NINE YEARS, my husband and I (according to them , NOT to us) owe the IRS $7,000+ by the end of July, 2008. Don't get me started. Otherwise, I would have enjoyed the concert with the rest of you cool cats!!! "She made me glad to be a man"
