Some random guy on Youtube improved Cyndi's single by mashing it up with Missy Elliot Cyndi's "Into The Nightlife" had a great chorus and shit verses. This anonymous guy has solved the problem by replacing her verses with Missy Elliot's rap on "Gossip", and suddenly the track's much better. Ignore the video though. It's better just to listen, at least when Cyndi's bits come in, since "Into the Nightlife" is a cheap video. This could be a hit if it was released.

It's not better.. the beat was bangin' in the first place.
Missy sounds good over fly beats. All this proves is that the Cyndi track is hot. I have heard more fun mashups with "Gossip Folks", like Hollertronix Never Scared mixtape that had her rhyming over "Rock The Casbah".

The beat is exactly the same, so obviously that's not improved. What's improved is that Misyy's rapping keeps the energy up in the verses, whereas the original verses just feel flat. Also, on this one we don't have to hear Cyndi singing "Shake your moneymaker, I will never be a faker now, hey! hey! hey!" **cringe** “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Unfortunately her entire album sound like something like something that the aforementioned porn star would sing. The only remotely good songs are Grab a Hold and Rain On Me. I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at the dirt.

Grab a Hold is a brilliant song, weakened by cheap production. Overall, the album is very patchy. Many songs have great sections, but don't maintain the excellence all the way through. The sad thing is she had some perfect songs like The Other Side, that were just waiting to be recorded, but for some reason they were overlooked for this album. Scandalous. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”
