I used to tell off fans who insisted it's michael, but now I'm beginning to believe it just might be and the jason name is just a fake name he's using. Maybe it's a combination of some other dude with a similar voice and mj's voice to fool the public, cause at times he doesn't sound like mj, and other times he sounds exactly like mj.

hmmm has anyone ever seen this Jason Malachi guy?

Yes. He is in no way shape or form MJ under an alias. At all. There are plenty of pics, and I don't see why michael would use a 20 something white guy as an alias. Anyways, here's proof he's not Michael- an on the spot acapella performance.

He doesn't sound too much like MJ on that youtube clip. If he IS a real guy copying Michael, then he sounds IDENTICAL to Michael on some songs, especially "Biggerman" and "You don't have to go."

I dunno. The voice on Malachi's songs sound way too much like MJ. I think Michael hired this guy to sing similar to him on this clip to manipulate us. He sounds nothing like Michael on this clip. But make no mistake, the voice on Jason Malachi's songs belong to Michael Joseph Jackson.

That's strictly your opinion.

I really beg to differ. Some parts of his songs sound like MJ but not identical. His falsetto is too thin, and a lot of parts don't sound like MJ at all. Do you think MJ would do that on beats so generic? Even on MJ's demos, the beats and music is better than what's on Malachi's music.

Besides that, Malachi is selling his album through this website, with no label and tons of ads etc: http://jasonmalachi.net/

That just doesn't make sense.

You may be right, but also keep in mind that Will.I.am wanted Michael to promote his new music through social networking sites. And thats exactly what has happened, here. Myspace is the only way to get info from Malachi. Well, myspace and his other site, www.jasonmalachi.net.

The whole thing adds up. I think MJ sung some of the vocals on Malachi's songs. They're definitely working together somehow. The whole thing adds up a little too perfectly.

Actually, none of it adds up for me. Besides what you said, MJ will do what MJ wants to do as he has always done.

Mj can promote his OWN stuff through social networking sites, which is exactly what has been happening with thriller 25- and as a result of that, his own sales of older albums went up and re-charted everywhere.

I just don't get it. And I don't think MJ is working with him or has sung a single note on any of Malachi's songs.

Jason is a nice dude- I have spoken to him and I think he has a lot of potential. I have told Malachi that he needs to step up a bit more and be a bit more open, which he has done on my fan site. He speaks one on one with members and posts on the forum.

I am not sure they are working together- Malachi is doing the "mystery thing" but he's slowly starting to come forth now, at fans' demand.

MarniFrances, I saw that you posted this clip. You may just be right. However, what's your opinion on this? It sounds edited but i'm not really sure. If it is Jason, he sounds just like Michael here (for the two seconds that he sings, anyway)

Actually, this was posted on my forum by an MJ fan. And I think it IS michael and was posted as a joke, so disregard that one. lol

Jason himself has been trying to prove for AGES that he is NOT Michael Jackson- another thing that should be pointed out.

MarniFrances, you may be right. Still, I'm just not so sure anymore. There are so many videos on youtube that support that Jason may be the king of pop. Here is an example..

It's a song on Malachi's album, but the speaking parts at the beginning are Michael, right? It's obvious that the voice at the beginning is Michael Jackson.

Yes, The speaking parts are Michael at the beginning, but that's from a demo- I just can't remember which one (but I am positive I have it)- that has just been tagged on the front of this song to make it sound like it's Michael's song. That kinda shit happens all the time.

It is true. That's definitely from an old demo or audio file or something. I'll have to go through my millions of audio files... but I will find it.

I am telling you though- except for those parts which are MJ, the rest of the song sounds not a thing like MJ, so we know it's NOT mj, period.

Ok I found it. The Michael Jackson talking at the beginning of that song is from a file called "Bumper Snippet" which is from the Bad recording sessions. I've uploaded it- it's not commercially released but I don't understand it I am allowed to share it here or not.

See, now that song sounds nothing like MJ at all. Except for the parts from Jam and other Dangerous songs that were obviously mixed in. The vocals sound nothing like MJ tho.

These "so-and-so, the next so-and-so" threads are geting REALLY TIRED! What is this sick fascination music fans have with wanting to be someone other than who they themselves are? I am influenced by many people, but I want to sound like ME and NO ONE ELSE, and I'm tired of others using the same irresponsible sensationalist tactics as "celebrity news" and all that other garbage!

Here is some info I found on Jason Malachi's facebook group. Sounds like Jason Malachi just may be Michael Jackson promoting his music.

1) Will.I.am stated that he was trying to convince Michael Jackson to release his forthcoming album online, and to use social networking sites like myspace.com to promote his music. Perhaps not coincidentally, Jason Malachi's album is ONLY available online, and can only be purchased on Jason's myspace page in the Nimbit music store. Will.I.am announced that he was working with Michael in October of 2006, and Jason Malachi's album dropped on May 31, 2008. That is more than enough time to record a hit album.

2) On Jason Malachi's myspace page, he lists Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly, James Brown, Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole as inspirations. Haven't we all heard Michael Jackson list these SAME people as influences?

3) There are NO tour dates, album credits, MTV promotion, or any kind of publicity. Hell, there isn't even a wikipedia article on this guy!! Trust me, if there was someone out there who sounded identical to Michael Jackson the way that "Jason Malachi" does, he'd definitely have 15 or 30 minutes of fame. And somehow, the ONLY information you can dig up on Jason Malachi is from his myspace page. This whole thing is WAY to quiet.

4) Some people say that Jason's songs are not quite good enough to be Michael Jackson songs. They say the production is the digitalized, and that Malachi's vocals aren't as great as Michael Jackson. Well, Jason Malachi's songs are really Michael Jackson DEMOs. Michael Jackson's demos are only blueprints, people. If you listen to the demos for "Don't stop til you get enough," "Billie Jean," etc, you'll see that the music sounds stripped down and the vocals are no where near as great as the finished version. Michael NEVER gives his best vocals on his demos, nor is the music at its best quality. Michael Jackson has released these demos to the public to get a reaction, and he'll hit us with a major release a little later.

5) Michael Jackson is STILL under contract for Sony Records. I doubt he can even release songs under the name "Michael Jackson." He has to wait until his contract expires. He can't release a new album from Sony. Why do you think we keep getting re-releases like Thriller 25 and such? Until the contract expires, Mike can't do too much. It's the same thing Prince went through. That's the reason why Prince changed his name to that stupid symbol; his record company owned him. He couldn't release new material under the name Prince while still under contract with Warner Bros. Michael Jackson is undergoing the same battle with Sony. Remember that before he released Dangerous back in 1991, Michael signed a $1 Billion Contract with Sony Entertainment, and to this day, he still owes them more albums.

6) This "Jason Malachi" character has released videos of himself singing acapella on youtube. Don't buy it, people. Tell me how can he sound like an impersonator on that clip, but somehow sound JUST LIKE Michael Jackson on the songs? The voice serenading us on youtube, and the voice on the Jason Malachi songs are obviously different voices. The voice on the songs is obviously the King of Pop. Also, the lighting on the video of "Jason Malachi" singing acapella is so dim, we cannot see his mouth clearly. He may have been lip synching. Never trust the internet, people.

7) Jason Malachi sounds similar to Michael Jackson. The only letter missing is the "K". I think Michael might as well have used the anagram of "Jason Jackson." It's really obvious.

8) Jason Malachi's album cover is him leaning against a red brick wall. This is identical to the "Off the wall" album cover. Look closer, and you'll see that Jason's body is positoned EXACTLY the same as Michael's body is positioned on the Bad album cover. Likewise, Jason is dressed in all black, just like MJ is on the album cover. Mike is sending us plenty of hints.

9) Why don't we ever see Jason sing live? If he could sing "Biggerman" or "You don't have to go" live and in person, I'd believe him. But in the few videos of him dancing and performing online, he's always lip synching. (We know why.)

10) Last, but not least, this benefits Michael Jackson. His reputation and image have been horribly damaged by scandals. If Michael Jackson came out and said, "OK, I'm releasing an album," some people wouldn't budge. After all, people are more caught up in his personal life than his great, legendary music. However, if some young guy out there happened to sound JUST LIKE Michael Jackson, people would be intrigued by the music only. They would enjoy the music, and listen with an open mind.

whew
'bout time somebody else caught on to this. wink But it really is brilliant on MJ's part.
I'm sick and tired of the Prince fans being sick and tired of the Prince fans that are sick and tired!

Agreed. It's like wearing a Barney costume without the head. I think MJ is droppin hints with this whole thing.

By the way, MarniFrances, this is getting good between us!!! This is an exciting, friendly forum competion. Alrighty, in the video of "Malachi" dancing, there is the breaking of the glass from the song "Jam." What other similarities do you hear in this song from other Dangerous tracks?

I thought I heard something from Why You Wanna Trip On Me. But I am not sure. Definitely elements of Jam though. (I can't re-watch it- my speed is capped and youtube videos take hours to load)

Btw I am sending you the link to the "Bumper Snippet" thing of MJ's so you know where it came from at the beginning of that other song.

PS. I find it interesting that you've posted 7 times and all those posts have been in this thread. You're not Jason Malachi are you? eek
