Forgotten 80's track: "Facts of Love" Instrumentalist Jeff Lorber featuring vocals by a then unknown Karyn White

How many of you remember this track?

The beat sounds very Prince-ish, and I really like this song. I like the tone of Karyn's voice here a lot.

What do the rest of you think? Love it? Hate it? Don't care?

I think she was only 20 here, so her style wasn't really defined yet, but we can all see her talent. Damn it I love youtube!!

I was only three when this came out but I remembered the video and thought "who's that cutie singing?" And she turned out to be Ms. "Superwoman". wink

No, it doesn't. lol

I haven't heard this song in years. Nothing about it stands out to me, not even Karyn's voice. I like both Lorber and Karyn but the songs just shrug

You don't think some of the arrangements sound Prince-ish at all? I do-especially at the beginning.

I'm playing the song in my head now, and no Prince-ish influence registers for me. I love the song tho! Dang another one to try and download.
