IIRC, BET and MTV played the remix video of "It's a Shame (My Sister)" exclusively. I didn't find out the album version had a video until a few months ago.

Considering the subject of this site, I can't believe you left out her Prince song, Born to B.R.E.E.D.:

Finally, here's "Work It Out" from Boyz N the Hood:

You guys forgot to mention that Monie wrote the rap for this Carmen/Prince classic (as well as damn near the entire album).

Who sang the hook on "It's a Shame"?

Sounds like the chick from Mtume, (Tawatha). Can't believe I remember her name!

My mind is screaming "Ultra Naté"! I think that's right.

Let's not forget Monie's other great guest raps on remixes:

Buddy (Remix) - De La Soul

My Name Is Not Susan (Remix) - Whitney Houston
