High School Musical 3 is comingout in the fall so those weak numbers will be eclipsed with ease. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

Coldplay holds at #1 on Billboard's album chart for the second week with Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends. But the big news is that, in just two weeks, Viva La Vida has sold more downloads than any album in digital history. The old record was held by John Mayer's Continuum. Viva La Vida sold 66,000 downloads this week, bringing its two-week total to 354,000. Continuum has sold 353,000 downloads since its release in September 2006.

You should put Biggest Selling Albums of 2008 OF America because worldwide that list would be alot different, Madonna's Hard candy has sold sold over 2 million copies worldwide thats including the usa, where for example Mariah Carey only sold 1 million and half copies including the usa and worldwide.

That is just the albums numbers from this year, the album has gone past 1 million and being an INDIE album, you can probably add more onto that total because there are ways that cd has been sold that are NOT counted. So for a record by a 60year old rocker and an alternative country artist to nail a million + copies without glitzy videos, or some sort of HYPE it clearly shows that there are at least a million people that arent LOST! Its still scary of how SMALL a fraction digital sales are considering that the industry is forcing retail out and digital in, and as its been said before, digital is still not a great sound quality at all. I think that the lack of people still buying digital downloads should show the labels that it needs to STOP running retail out of business, well, its too late for that since they are all gone.
