Your Favorite Michael Jackson Music Video..EVER Okay this is it. Not top ten. Not top 5. Pick 1!!!! Your all time favorite and defend why. (Especially the people who don't pick Thriller, might have some heavy explaining to do.)
For me, it would have to be: Scream I think on an artistic level, it just looks visually unique and brilliant. I also can remember the first time I saw it like I was yesterday. I remember sitting down, in my living room, my whole family watching Michael's prime time interview, and then this video was shown. I recorded the whole interview on tape (still have that tape) and would rewind and fast forward just to the video for weeks to come. Beyond the awesome Edward Scissorhands style outfits, and the cool anime, there was also the dancing. Watching Michael and Janet dance together (and play that one video game) was just FUN. I loved it (Still do.) So while it may not have had the impact on the world that Thriller did, it is still my favorite to this day. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

Why does no-one ever mention They Don't Care About Us?
That video (both the Brazil and the prison one) is definately one of his best. And Ghosts is fantastic too, although it doesn't really count as a video.

Smooth Criminal
http://youtube.com/watch?v=DCeLDUGxu2A It is the summit of his video making. Excellent choreography, decent back story, and great music. A great example of how music vids should be done! "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

Hmmm... I'd have to say "Thriller."
I remember being fairly entertained by the end of "Black or White"'s video, and I liked the song "The Way You Make Me Feel," so I guess I liked the video because of that, but my favorite is "Thriller." When I saw the video for "Beat It," I remember thinking "Hey, he's dancing just like Pat Benetar!" I actually did think that. I liked "Scream," but I wished Michael and Janet would have danced more. Has anyone participated in or practiced "ThrilltheWorld"? It's super fun!! I look like the whitest dork ever, but it's a blast. "She made me glad to be a man"

Oh my goodness, this reminds me - in 9th grade, I had to take CPR classes and before we students could administer our 'CPR moves' on our respective dummies, we had to bend over the victim and say, "Annie, are you okay?" Every time anyone said this, I began to dance like Michael did in the "Smooth Criminal" video. I was kicked out of the class. To this day, I don't know CPR. Better choreography, better songs and a better story. Co-Sign Even though, Thriller has such a strong legacy and has impacted so many things dealing with music videos, it is hard not to get panned for agreeing. Where as Ghosts, beyond MJ hardcore fans is just, "some new project." :-p That being said, I agree. I think Ghosts is amazing visually, the dancing is so much more vibrant, and the story is much more closer to Michael's own life - it is almost eerie. You can't tell me he didn't model the mayor character in that after Don Shelton, *cough* Tom Sneddon *cough. MJ Fan 1992-Forever

Impossible to choose one.
Mine are: Smooth Criminal Ghosts In the Closet Stranger in Moscow Remeber the Time Who Is It BTW I work as a teacher and I played Ghosts to seventh graders and they were watching it like . Those kids are that kind of generation who knows MJ only for the plastic surgery and the molestation trial. They know nothing about his work. They know only today´s artist and none of them is capable of anything like Mike, so they were quite shocked by it. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

The "Billie Jean" video is my personal favorite.I know many people will say that the two videos that came after are superior, but the "Billie Jean" video is excellent! It totally fits the haunting, paranoid vibe of the music and lyrics.I like the way the ground lights up with his every step.....I like his dance moves in this video (subtle but not flashy and show-off ish)....I like the dramatic conclusion when he walks up the stairs and finally confronts the woman then seemingly disappears into thin air.I guess his character is an angel who's not really there? Whatever the case,I think it's BRILLIANT.I also think that the song is the best 80s pop single, but that's another thread, lol.

Remember the Time
I just love the egyptian theme and everyone was so beautiful - the first real mainstream portrayal in film of what Egypt really looked like. I love Michael for that.
