The first time I heard Sam with this feel was on the Soul Stirrer's version of "Were You There"...man, felt like I Was there! ..and man, with the guitar accompanying them...man, that's that place were church and the delta blues met!! first time I heard it, I had to put my jaw back in mouth, lol!
