Weather Report - "Nubian Sundance" (1974) ...
I remember hearing this as a kid back in'74 --blew my mind, I was like, WTF!!!  I mean, they came firing on all cylinders from the beginning with a synth blast and two drummers flailing away (Ishmael Wilburn and Skip Hadden)!
I guess now it might sound like an ancestor to Drum N' Bass, except they were doing it live... I love Zawinul's keys and synths here! And the voices!! It was like stumbling into a giant cultural celebration....I remember back then, thinking it sounded like an African celebration, but on Another Planet,
