"End Of The Road" by Boyz II Men
"Love's In Need Of Love" by Stevie Wonder

I'll think of more later...

I especially liked these...

That's the way of the world (let me add "Can't Hide Love")
Tears of a clown (let me add "Cruisin'")
Livin' for the city (let me add "Knocks Me Off my Feet")
"You're Still A Young Man" (can't add 2 that one... damn!)
Midnight Train to Georgia (let me add "Neither One Of Us Wants To Be The first To Say Goodbye")
don't Let Our Love Start Slippin' (let me add, "Look At Us", and "Pocket Full Of Gold" and "When I Call Your Name")
"I Can't Help It" (let me add "Earth Song", "Man In The Mirror" and "That's What You Get For Being Polite")

Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing

I could stay awake just to hear you breathing
Watch you smile while you are sleeping
While you're far away and dreaming
I could spend my life in this sweet surrender
I could stay lost in this moment forever
Well, every moment spent with you
Is a moment I treasure
I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream would never do
I'd still miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
Lying close to you
Feeling your heart beating
And I'm wondering what you're dreaming
Wondering if it's me you're seeing
Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together
And I just wanna stay with you
In this moment forever, forever and ever
I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream would never do
I'd still miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
I don't wanna miss one smile
I don't wanna miss one kiss
Well, I just wanna be with you
Right here with you, just like this
I just wanna hold you close
Feel your heart so close to mine
And just stay here in this moment
For all the rest of time
Don't wanna close my eyes
Don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream would never do
'Cause I'd still miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
I don't wanna close my eyes
I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I'd miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
'Cause even when I dream of you
The sweetest dream would never do
I'd still miss you, baby
And I don't wanna miss a thing
Don't wanna close my eyes
Don't wanna fall asleep, yeah
I don't wanna miss a thing
I don't wanna miss a thing

Choice!

Them BeeGees again, innit!

I hear ya! The Bee Gees are responsible for some of the most "emotional" songs of all-time.Do you remember the song "Desire"(1980) which they wrote and produced for their brother Andy? Or "Heartbreaker"(1982) which they wrote and produced for Dionne Warwick?

Heartbreaker i know (hard to imagine who doesn't) but i'm not familiar with Desire. However, i want to pick up a best of Andy Gibb simply for the song Shadow Dancing ('cos it's ace) so hopefully it'll be on there.

- How Could An Angel Break My Heart-Toni Braxton

I heard he sang a lullaby
I heard he sang it from his heart
When I found out thought I would die
Because that lullaby was mine
I heard he sealed it with a kiss
He gently kissed her cherry lips
I found that so hard to believe
Because his kiss belonged to me

How could an angel break my heart
Why didn't he catch my falling star
I wish I didn't wish so hard
Maybe I wished our love apart
How could an angel break my heart

I heard her face was white as rain
Soft as a rose that blooms in May
He keeps her picture in a frame
And when he sleeps he calls her name
I wonder if she makes him smile
The way he used to smile at me
I hope she doesn't make him laugh
Because his laugh belongs to me

How could an angel break my heart
Wh didn't he catch may falling star
I wish I didn't wish so hard
Maybe I wish our love apart
How could an angel break my heart

Oh my soul is dying, it's crying
I'm trying to understand
Please help me

How could an angel break my heart
Why didn't he catch my falling star
I wish I didn't wish so hard
Maybe I wished our love apart
How could an angel break my heart

My saved list is a lot longer, but i narrowed it down 2 mostly "new"er-jacks that get so-so to no recognition. Anything in bold gets heavy rotation:

Reminiscing on THE ONE - As If We Never Met, Chante Moore; How Can I Ease the Pain, Lisa Fischer; No Other Love, Faith; I Hear Ur Voice, Patti LaBelle

Holding On 2 a LOVE that don't wanna B held on2 - For a Reason, Zhane; I Love U (More Than U'll Ever Know), Donny Hathaway; Fine & Mellow, Billie Holiday; Till the End of Time or Can't Let Go, Mariah Carey (when she sang from the gut!!!); My Lover's Prayer, Otis Redding; My Lover's Prayer, Otis Redding (YES. So nice, had 2 B mentioned twice)

Betwixt LUST & LOVE - U Move Me, Cassandra Wilson; Welcome, Maxwell; Inside My Love, Trina Broussard's version ("Love Jones" soundtrack); I Want the Night 2 Stay or I Who Have Nothing, Luther Vandross; Lover Man, Billie Holiday; Come Away With Me, Norah Jones; Ready 4 Love, India Irie

Brokenhearted 4 whatever reason - I'm Going Home, Marvin Gaye; Walking the Back Streets & Cryin', Little Milton (straight juke joint baby!!!); Crazy Baby, Joan Osborne; Know These Things: Shouldn't U, Maxwell; So Many Tears, Regina Belle; Love Don't Live Here Anymore, Rose Royce; Living All Alone, Phyllis Hyman

Uplifting - My Life, Mary J. Blige; Ye Yo, Erykah Badu; U're The Man, Marvin Gaye; Sometimes, Bilal (i think i'm the only one on this board who digs this guy)

Empathy - Piece of Clay, Marvin Gaye; Leviticus:Faggot, Me'Shell Ndegeocello

Peace of Mind - Angel, Sarah McLachlan; Case of U, Joni Mitchell; I Care 4 U, Aaliyah

Gumbo (with each) - I Almost Lost U, Rosie Gaines

There's sure 2 B hundreds more...some sexy mutha on this board told me 2 get down with some Bjork so i'm sure she belongs somewhere on this list. wink
Others have already been mentioned; and, of course, there are too many Prince songs 2 even begin.
PEACE

One song that ALWAYS chokes me up is Kissing You by Desiree (from the Romeo & Juliet soundtrack). It's so sparse & simple, so fucking gorgeous. I sing along w/ it & I'm all emotional by the second verse! You really FEEL that song, it's beautiful... biggrin
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart
