I just saw midnight star on michael baisden this weekend and they put it down. I would love to see what the brick and slave lineup is about. What city is this show in? Don't laugh at my funk

Those good concerts keep coming to your area. All we ever get is those outdoor festivals and it's too damn hot down here to be outside. Hell, I need some air conditioning when I'm drinking and shaking my ass. I'm an old whore, what do they want me to do, fall out with a heat stroke?
The Ohio Players were here last weekend with the "Jubilee Jam" outdoor festival. I left them right downtown where they belonged in that heat. ZZ Top was playing that night also on another stage. The 10 O'Clock news showed a little of the crowd at ZZ Top's performance and I saw rednecks of all ages drunk as hell. I knew I wasn't about to wade my ass through that crowd just to go see The Ohio Players. They would have been dragging me on a rope from the bumper of a car. Andy is a four letter word. | |

Oh I would love to see Slave and Brick. I've seen Teena Marie and Gap Band more than enough times. I would like to go to another funk or soul show that doesn't include them. "Funkyslsistah… you ain't funky at all, you just a little ol' prude"!

I've seen Teena only once before and I can't wait to see her again She puts her all into her performances.Charlie Wilson recently appeared out here (solo) for a recent show with Lisa Lisa,Brenton Wood and Malo.It was at Shoreline.This time he'll be with his Gap bandmates,so it should be exciting. | |

I'm going to the Music In The Other Park to see Midnight Star and I'm still debating if I'm going to go to the Funk Fest. I have an adversion to the Concord Palvion. The flipping walk thru the gravel parking lot and the sun bouncing off that big ass hill make the place crazy hot. If it was at the Shoreline I would be there in a heartbeat. Just Call Me Afrochick
