I knew this song from a set of demos for the Hissing album, but turns out the finished version of "Dreamland" is on this Don Juan's.. album!

Have you heard the entire album, Cinnie? It's fantastic.

...And do you know that black man on the album cover is really Joni?

Google this, it is referred to on the Internet as The Seeding Of Summer Lawns. Sounds like it was sourced from tape.

I knew the song "Jericho" from her 1974 live album Miles Of Aisles and realllly enjoyed that one. Pretty awesome that she recorded it for Don Juan's Reckless Daughter.

Don Juan's has been my riding-to-work-on-the-bus music for the past week or so. I've been loving it. I just read Mark Bego's biography which is a totally biased love letter to her but has me pulling out alot of her albums that I've only really glossed over. For some reason I think I need to get them on vinyl. I have the Shadows and Light CD but want to pick up the DVD.

I adore "Jericho," but listening to it is bittersweet. I dedicated it to a person I once had a thing for. Things didn't work out, and the song ever reminds me.

I also have a joni song that is special 2 me. Everything i listen 2 it, that person's essence pops in my soul.
