Slade ******* Rock!!! Why o why didnt I listen to this bands music earlier like most people I knew Merry christmas everybody and come on feel the noise, but after listening to there best of they are so much more than that. This most unlikely looking of bands are truely brilliant songwriters, one of my favourites off the album is the Myzsterious Mizster Jones which is just awsome check it out at the link below its ace.

I only know them by name and that Quiet Riot remade Cum On Feel the Noize. I just had a look at their greatest hits - I didn't know that Quiet Riot's Mama Weer All Crazee Now was also originally done by them.

Slade were quite possibly the biggest band in the UK for a while and I have all their albums up to Nobody's Fools in 1976. In fact the first album I ever bought (aged 4!!) was Slayed which is still a great album.

I didnt know they where the biggest band if so it must have been after 70-73 period domination by trex when they were the biggest. [Edited 6/22/08 7:06am] LET A WOMAN BE A WOMAN AND A MAN BE A MAN

One of my faves.. I have all of Slade's early shit on wax. Jimi's producer Chas Chandler produced a lot thier their best stuff.
Beginnings Play It Loud Slade Alive Slayed Sladest Nobody Fools Old New Borrowed and Blue Slade In Flame All of these are very cool albums. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Thats a fucking Anthem in the UK. Every xmas, its played to death. On tv, radio, parties, adverts. You gotta love it. Its probably the ultimate christmas song in the UK. No joke. I see a bit of Slade in Oasis, and I think Noel has even covered a song of thiers, from time to time.

SLADE are great! I even got married to 'Cuz I Love You'! I was never really interested in them until I read Noddy Holder's autobiography....We then bought the greatest hits and the rest is history! Check out their film 'Slade In Flame'.It's pretty good.

I said "possibly" the biggest but if you equate number one singles to success then T Rex = 4, Slade = 6
