Am I a music snob?

So I went on a date yesterday with this really cool guy I've been flirting with at the gym for some time now. My main attraction (besides the obvious fact that the dude is fuckingt hot) was that he would always work out in different T-shirts from some of my favorite artists...Anyway, I asked him out and we had dinner and everything was going well. He seemed to talk a lot about his favorite TV shows which I was willing to over look (I have not owned a TV for over three years...have a lot of reading to catch up on) and when the subject of music came up he blurted out that he could not wait for the new Justin Timberlake record. I was stunned..."Justin Timberlake?" I said...and he rambled on about this Justin fellow and about Britney and about Christina and blah, blah, fucking blah...So I said, "But you're a fan of Bjork right? Dead Can Dance? I've seen some of your T-Shirts." And he said "Oh those belong to my roommate."

I was crushed...

So, yes I took him home and the sex was OK but damn I cannot get past his fondness for bubble gum pop...he's called several times today and I have not returned his call. I'm turning into your typical LA homo, not calling people back...I know my reasons are absurd but just cannot seem to get passed it...anyhoot...

lol That's a funny story. You'll be able to overlook it if you actually really, really like the guy. Do you know what other type of music he likes? It can't only be teenybopper stuff...can it? confused

lol I'm sorry, don't take offense, I just find this funny.

Drop him now!!! Justin Timberlake? Are you sure you didn't have sex with a 13 year old girl?

I broke up with a girl once because she thought Kevin Smith movies were offensive to women. I asked her to watch Chasing Amy or Dogma to PROVE that they were not at all and she REFUSED. So I didn't return any of her calls after that.

It's hilarious that the T-shirts were EVER part of the attraction!! lol Then again, if I saw a cute guy in a friggin' [insert lame artist here] T-shirt, I'd RUN!

TV stuff aside, anyone who can ramble about Justin, Christina & Britney deserves to be dropped. Seriously, what would you guys listen to in the car on the way to dinner? What would you listen to while relaxing by the pool? It's doomed, sometimes opposites are just opposites. You got your nut, move on... wink
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

There's obviously no future in this relationship. You are not a snob at all. Imagine if you got to the point where you were considering living together? Could you really put yourself through the torture of listening to that crap in your own home?

PS- Checking out the roommate isn't a bad idea though... Maybe you could be friends? wink
