So Robin Antin, the creator of the Pussycat Dolls has created a new girl group called "Girlicious" (think the Pussycat Dolls, younger, skankier and less talented sisters). I must confess that yes I did watch their reality TV show as they were recruiting the members for this group and yes I did find the show to be mildly amusing and entertaining to watch Although I did strongly disagree with Robin's decision to add a 4th member to this group when all throughout the show she said it was only going to be a 3-girl group

Anywhoo, I just checked out 2 of their music videos on Youtube and my reaction to both were: So this is what the Bratz Dolls look like all grown up. Just who is their target audience supposed to be? Pre-teens? (I hope not) Teens/young women? Horny old men? Here's their videos:

They are so crap. They don't even work well as a group, they don't sound good and I feel 'yuk' just watching one of there stupid music vids. Not sexy, not sexy at all. Just bad.

That is some of the worst pop music I have ever heard in my entire life. The beats are like any other horridly insipid pop song you've ever heard, except it's all much worse here. The lyrics are dumbed down to the point where you'd have to render yourself retarded by bashing your skull in with a hammer to find any value in them.

They sound terrible, their dancing is pointless, they have no chemistry together whatsoever, and the songs are the epitome of stupidity.

Jesus, it has really gotten to the point where people are pushing songs strongly advocating conformity and brainless innanity. These songs kind of capture just how low the record industry has sunk, and why there is no hope for it. Thank God artists like Reznor have moved away from this sinking Titanic.

I'm glad Vanity 6 was mentioned because I initially wondered if I were being fair in being critical of these girls, when I grew up liking Vanity 6 and The MaryJane Girls. My younger sister always accuse me of being a "hater" of anything from this generation.....and I will admit a little bias, however everything I just saw and heard on those 'Girlicious' videos just seemed wrong to me. I'm sorry but Skanky and trashy are the only words that seem to come to mind.

Sure Vanity 6 was skanky, too, but it was sort of an alternative to what was going on, it wasn't the norm.

Like Me has a nice beat, but yeah I agree they are very skanky looking, especially the second video. I watched a bit of the show cause I liked them for each individual talent and the drama entertained me, but I knew their music would be such a flop anyways.

Please, learn how to sing on pitch or stay home. You're not fooling anyone. If you need a vocal producer to sound good you should probably just give up and get a job at Walmart....or in these girls' case...your local strip joint.
