He's a great live artist. On record he's okay, but not as good as live.

Virtually the entire Funk Mob guested on that album, from George Clinton, on down...This one is probably my favorite. saw Amp here recently in Detroit, the night before the Techno Fest memorial day weekend actually and he KILLED it! he's a master of milking a good groove for all its worth. i think i like him better live. Afro Strut is my fave of the three discs.

He's cool. He's toured as part of P's band before. I like "Dreamnin'", that's a tight cut. I wanna cop Afro Strut though. "Waltz" was decent.

Few members of the p-funk all stars in 1990 layed down some extra parts on we can funk amp being one of them prince wasn't present during those sessions
