For some reason I thought The Concept was an 80s one when I came across it. Something about that cover art I guess. I have similar timeline standards for funk (even though I was totally wrong redface)

The Hardness Of The World looks 70s to me.

Since The Concept isn't from the 80s there's no point in arguing. lol

Btw , the cover art (70's cover art, lol ) was based on William Blake's painting, "Ancient of Days"(1794), with God as the architect...

I love the concept album. I got this album when i was in
the 7th grade and i really didn't appreciate it until i
got older. I love coming soon too but my favorite tracks
from this album are drac is back and we got your party
which are essentially the same. I always thought is was cool
the way they did it. The difference between the two is that
starleana young lends her voice to jam on the funk/rock track
we got your party.

IF YOU WANT TO SING THIS SONG, YOU SHOULD TRY AND HUM ALONG
AIN'T NUTTIN BUT A PARTY YEAH
PARTY! GET DOWN YALL! headbang

biggrin Ndeed! Curt Jones, Starlena Young and Steve Arrington had all just arrived in the group, and they waist no time making themselves heard!

Yeah you will have to let us know next week. I know there is a version
that had been touring with the delfonics, harold melvin's blue notes, blue
magic as seen on tv during VH1 soul's commercials featuring drac.
I know last year there was a version practicing and the clips were on youtube
featuring curt jones and one of the original members of slave and a cat from
the p funk mob i believe. They were rehearsing make up your mind, slide, snapshot, you and me tonight. They were actually called the slave family. That clip of them performing make up your mind was the shit. I hope that is the version of slave that is touring. I hope you enjoy the show. Give us the lowdown next week.
