The way underrated / forgotten Karl Wallinger aka World Party!

Letting the music do the speaking:

Private Revolution: Sinead on backing vocals, Princely synths, a powerfull message within a quirky, joyfull tune.

From the same, debut album: Ship of fools, a bit darker, but so right on spot.

Is it too late baby? From his 1989 masterpiece and second album 'Goodbye Jumbo', a live performance, coupled with Radio days, from his more dance'-orientated' album 'Bang'.

You really should. biggrin

His / their third album 'Bang' mixes acoustic pop with more dance-orientated stuff in a suprising way. The reprise of 'Give it all away' reminds me a lot of Prince, the song Positivity especially.

Their 4th album Egyptology is quite dark, with obvious touches of Bob Dylan and revolver-era Beatles, an album that takes some time to get into, but pays off in the end.

Their last album, Dumbing up, is a bit too polished and predictable for my own taste, but nonetheless their are some great pieces of songwriting and arranging to be find on that album.
