I wasn't too crazy about 'The Moment Is Mine' boxed When she released that album,I began to lose interest. Her music began sounding like other R&B divas on the radio.Jam and Lewis' production was boring and uninspired.I disliked the next album 'Exposed' even more.

My favorite Chante Moore album is 'A Love Supreme',her second album. It's so sexy, lush and dreamy music That album and the debut are must-haves.

Notice how I put it...."her best since "This Moment Is Mine"" wink

I actually found A Love Supreme kind of boring...(good, yet not for me). I loved "This Moment Is Mine" because it seemed like they were trying to make her appeal to a more contemporary audience. I really loved "I Cry To Myself", "If I Gave Love", "Easy" and "Love and the Woman". I think she was in a happy place when she did this album (She had just gotten with Kadeem Hardison when she did this one). To me, Exposed was all about how upset she was because the marriage wasn't going well.

I thought I was the only 1 who thought A Love Supreme was a tad boring. My favorite is always the 1st cd. But, This Moment is Mine is good too. And I know I'm in the minority here- but I actually like Exposed- even though JD was ex producer.

With this new cd, I love when she works with George Duke. He knows how to bring the best out of her. It's like Rachelle Ferrell working with George. It's just the right chemistry.

Now, I can't hate on Warren "Baby Dub" Campbelle because I tend to like his production- and he did ok wih Chante this time. I just wish more of the songs were a bit stronger.

I've listened to it several times this weekend and I think its her best since "This Moment Is Mine". It's not as good as that, but its a good one. At times, the album sounds "dated" to me, but its still good.

I like both albums this moment is mine. The only drawback to me is the
weak rodney jerkins produced if i gave you love and that lame chaka remake
you got the love. Other than that i thought the cd was good and very underrated.
I liked i see you in a different light, blooming flower, chante's got a man, and
the title track. I liked exposed too because she didn't let herself become predictable. The jermaine dupri produced tracks were useless except for straight up. I loved bitter, i'm keeping you, train of thought, man, love's
alright. I surprised some don't care for these cd's especially in light of liking the new one. I am still trying to let this new one grow on me. I can
only get into 3 tracks right now.

Exposed
thumbs up!

It's hard for me to pick a favorite out of the last three but if i had
to i would love supreme. I never heard all of the first album outside of
the singles. Have to check it out.

If I can recall, JD was dating Chante when she was recording Exposed. That's why he did "Straight Up". I didn't like that song too much, but I did like the Junior Vasquez dance remix.

I think it has some good songs and production....but it doesn't seem to have the right balance between mid-tempo and slow songs (to me). I've tried several times to "re-discover" this cd, but I just cannot get into it (as a piece of work).

Exactly, that's why I feel like that also. And it's too long.
I have tried to get into it recently- but can't over all.

The song If I Gave You Love is a copy of another J-Lo recorded (If You Had My Love??? or J-Lo's one is a copy of Chanté's). Jerkins did both. He was going through a lack of inspiration eek

Yeah...Chante's dropped first. Then J-Lo dropped "If You Had My Love" almost a year later.

I'm not surprised. I like her voice so I usually end up tolerating even some of subpar songs.

yes, she doesn't oversing and her voice isn't heavy which makes her light on my ears.

This is why I think even though A Love Supreme didn’t have the best songs or the most memorable, I found myself playing that album quite a bit. And Exposed was definitely not what I was expecting and I ended up loving that album: Take Care of Me, Bitter, M-A-N, Better Than Making Love, Loves Still Alright. She even made the N-word sound like butter. lol
