And the paranoia that came with it resulted in alot of failed suicide acts. I think its all(or part of it is in the book). But she really hit rock bottom in the late 80's(CK era) when the doctor told her she can't sing anymore without an operation. To hear her tell it, she locked herself in that NYC penthouse for afew months waiting to die untill Sandra(her mom) showed up @ the door and gave her some tough love doses. The 80's was a tough era for her,,,thats when everything from her fast life has taken a toll on her. She came swingin' back with a thud though,,,to hear her tell it, she says "I went to hell and got back in a Limousine"  | |
