There is 10 tracks that are in circulation among small group of people right now that are from D'angelo's "James-River" project.I wont trade these tracks with fellow orgers do to how the prince FANATICS ruin prince bootleg community.
if little leg work you can obtain voodoo outtakes and few concerts from voodoo tour.

I find this hard to believe. That kind of shit would have at least leaked in snippet form on Okayplayer. There's more chance of Stevie Wonder '74 outtake snippets leaking...which is in fact what recently happened on Okayplayer!

forget D'Angelo....I wanna know more about those 1974 Stevie Wonder outtakes!! lol What are the names of the songs??

In the meantime, there's the Best So Far' CD and DVD compilation in a week ro so. Nothing new, sadly

http://www.okayplayer.com...temid,140/

Released by Virgin, his former label.

Here's the promo page:

http://www.dangeloonline.com/

which also suggests 'look for more this Fall'.

The fact that he apparently has a new label deal is at least promising - is the picture above also a new shot?

No, it's an archival image that I resized and uploaded.

No names. Some guy posted snippets of 4 songs from that era...all very mysterious, as the sound quality is perfect, and you can hear Stevie giving the band directions on one of them. The songs sounds amazing too...the guy won't post full songs. Just do a search on Okayplayer for Stevie unreleased, I think.

R&B star D'Angelo is making progress on his first studio album since 2000, which will likely be released early next year via J Records. The label purchased D'Angelo's contract in 2005 from Virgin, which issued his first two studio albums.

For his as-yet-untitled J debut, D'Angelo has already collaborated with Raphael Saadiq and also plans to record with John Mayer, according to a source. A single may be out before the end of the year.

Two publications are reporting vague dates of release for D'Angelo next project. Nothing's specific in that Billboard article. Let's wait for the label to issue a statement.

This better be red hot or he's over!

You can't disappear after two albums for ten years and come back with anything less than spectacular.

It better be funky!

Aside from all of that, it's good to see a new pic of D. I hope he can keep himself together so that this CD can see the light of day sooner rather than later.
