If at this point in the game he hasn't been sued out of his Lamborghini underroos for all of his alleged thievery, no one is going to hold him accountable for his tricks. If Madge is as smart as people say she is, how did this slip by her and the bean counters? I'll listen to both tracks and come away with the conclusion that his accusers must have some serious fear of him, no one has put their face forward against him, when that happens I will really listen. I can hear the similarities. That is something but like PP4, I'm not surpised by this. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Didnt the people who originally did the computer keys for Nelly Furtado's "Do It" get at him? Did they just not have a case? Straight Jacket Funk Affair

There are certainly a few similarities. If he stole it, he pulled a "My Sweet Lord," because his version is clearly better. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

Didnt the people who originally did the computer keys for Nelly Furtado's "Do It" get at him? Did they just not have a case? In all fairness, if he is facing lawsuits over what he's done, I am not keeping up with them because I simply don't care that much beyond these org walls. But if he is guilty, at least give him a bit of credit for having such a vast music collection, from Arab and Middle Eastern influences of electronica, the man's got crazy taste. Yeah but George Harrison had to pay out of his ass for "unintentional theft", i doubt Timbaland was grooving on the Victoria Beckham album over and over and had it rolling in his head, i think he just lifted it. Unlike "Do It," I think this actually could be "unintentional theft," which IMO is far more likely and understandable. When you've listened to hundreds and thousands of songs, it can be hard to discern if that melody you "came up with" wasn't in there already. there were two other producers of this track weren't there? Timberlake & Danja. Plus Madonnas writing input - its a bit unfair to lay it all at Timbalands door.
I personally think its just coincidence - the last person u'd ever want to be caught stealing from is Victoria Beckham?

The sick part about this latest controversy is that Victoria's original version is the better track!

i think it was Madge's idea to get back at her for this! and the fact the Spice Girls used Jamie King and her Confessions tour stage. You CANNOT use the name of God, or religion, to justify acts of violence, to hurt, to hate, to discriminate- Madonna

What's so funny is that this was the song all the Madge fans were praising the most when her album came out. They were speaking about it like it was a "Purple Rain" for the new millenium. Yet you know if they'd heard Victoria Beckham's original they would have dismissed it as the generic and boring piece of fluff it really is. This confirms everything I've been saying about their lack of judgement when it comes to their heroine. It's like the movie "Shallow Hal" where the guy's put under a spell that makes him see the fat Gwyneth Paltrow as a slim and gorgeous babe. Madonna fans have had a cruel trick played on them. She sings like a dying goat and they don't notice. She makes a totally boring, rip off track like this and they praise it as manna from heaven. Madonna did a very cruel thing when she put that spell on them. Now she's got them loving Victoria Beckham songs. As if bankrupting them with three hundred dollar concert tickets wasn't enough. Can she not leave them with some self respect?
