Anyone given this a listen yet? AMG gave it a good write up.

wow, I didn't know a thing about this.

I wasn't so crazy about '11 Tracks of Whack', though maybe I was too young to appreciate. I do respect Walter and Donald so much.

All the Dan fans here and that's all the response I get? lol

I'm changing the thread title to Walter Becker & Madonna Duet - Janet's Tit.

I've been meaning to get this. Just haven't gotten around to it yet.

Listened to samples here:

Trying to get accustomed to his voice. smile

Yeah, I haven't listened to this one yet, but I was inactively listening to 11 Tracks of Wiggity Whack yesterday, and it wasn't doing much for me.

I think it's Kool, but I'll probably have to spin it a couple of times to get the hang...

So far I like "Paging Audrey" the best, but that's probably pecause it's the closest to that "Classic Dan" sound...the rest has more of a reggae-pop feel than their usual progressive pop/jazz feel...and yeah, Becker's voice --well, let's just say a little of it goes an extremely long way.....love his guitar playing, though...

Ditto.

I'm sure the signature Sadowsky strat...

...hasn't hurt his tone any.

His live rig...

...KILLS!

I love the reggae feel and there's some cool use of offbeat instuments like a bass clarinet.

The vocals on the first sample sound like the Mary Jane Girls doing "My House."

This is a little off topic but what I wanna know know is who's in the band on the current tour. I've googled till my fingers bled and found nothing.

If you're talking about the current Steely Dan band, that's here:
