I love those early 70s Soul Train performances I remember watching this stuff back then!

Great pic. I can't stress how much I love The Isley's. Especially from this period. Ernie was waving his Hendrix's Freak Flag high! I fucking adore the Isley's. The cut Live It Up, I think is underrated. It's never gotten that much love from Isley fans. I think it's one of their best cuts. Lyrically and musically. It was a very important statement when it first came out. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

The whole album is a masterpiece. Blues rock gems "Lover's Eve" and "Ain't I Been Good to Ya" the funky funky "Midnight Sky", Acoustic folk-funk "Brown Eyed Girl" and a cover of Todd Rundgren's "Hello, It's Me". Man I loved this album [Edited 5/27/08 9:27am] test

You think so? "Live It Up" is essential Isleys material according to this fan. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

I've loved this album since I was 9, 10 years old. I think I've championed Eddie Hazel and Ernie on here more than anybody. And Ernie's palying is simply KILLIN' on this album. Don't be startin' nothin you can't finish, bruh Oh, I can FINISH it, player. Trust me. Paligap himself will tell ya, I'm the disciple on guitar under Hazel and Isley. He said I was them blended together. Besides that, my love for these two run hella deep. And on a cosmic note, these two cats have the same first names of my dad's group "Eddie and Ernie". My dad being Eddie Campbell. Pali had picked that up as well. Also check out Ernie on the crazy underrated "Under The Influence" on their "The Real Deal" album. Thanx...just type in "Eddie and Ernie" and all kinds of sites will pop up with different tracks. Type in "Lost Friends", that's a compiliation and ther u can hear some of the tracks. My dad has one that somebody from England put up on youtube called "Bullets Don't Have Eyes". That's my dad when he was a solo artist, after Eddie and Ernie. If u type in Eddie Campbell on youtube, that song will come up. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
