Amy Winehouse sings.... a racist song! The expression "avoid the big poofy-haired elephant standing in the middle of the room" comes to mind. Now personally, I thought she was quite off-pitch. I wonder is it the drugs making her care less about being in key and if that transfers over into her shows? I know that some drugs make people care less about things. I also know that some singers have to focus more to stay in key than others do. I don't know what drug(s) she was on but seeing as how the RACIST SONG she and her friend sang seemed to be well known as if it has been REPEATED A BUNCH OF TIMES BEFORE, I would think that the memorization of the words was not a factor but the pitch thing seemed to be an issue. I wonder if its always an issue for her? Does she always struggle to stay in key? Surely she has been able to perforn on drugs in the past and not go off key? What causes a professional singer to be that far off pitch on such a simple melody of a RACIST SONG?  | |
